I wanted to share an exciting webinar next week with Dr. Burrascano and Project Lyme. He will talk about Bartonella and how we can be more educated on this common Lyme co-infection, diagnosis, and treatment.
Dr. Joseph Burrascano, an internationally recognized expert on Lyme and associated diseases, will discuss Bartonella in a Project Lyme webinar on November 1, 5:30 pm Eastern Time.
Bartonellosis is a fast-growing tick-borne disease. This event will cover a variety of topics, including the significance and prevalence of co-infections in tick-borne diseases, the biology of Bartonella, its clinical features, how to diagnose effectively, as well as treatment options and suggestions.
Dr. Joseph Burrascano is a well-recognized specialist in diagnosing and treating Lyme and associated complex infectious diseases and the chronic illnesses accompanying them. With over two decades of experience and research in this field, he has appeared in and on virtually every media form, advised the CDC and NIH, testified before the U.S. Senate, an armed services joint subcommittee, and at various governor’s councils. A founding member of ILADS, he is currently an active Board Member of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Educational Foundation.
Bartonella commonly co-infects Lyme patients but has been notoriously difficult to diagnose with lab tests. We are happy to have Dr. Joseph Burrascano examine the infection in this webinar, providing an outline of the bacteria, as well as its diagnosis and treatment.
